Testimony & Prophetic Revelation

As we dug into our lesson Thursday night during the Vessels of Virtue Bible Study: Weapons of Warfare: Understanding What They Are, Their Use, Purpose and Power.. GOD led me to share a testimony in which HE then unfolded a powerful revelation under girding the necessity of spiritual weapons training  in the Body of Christ..

Testimony: Before giving my life to CHRIST I had a rash of life threatening experiences and I even died once for a space in time due to an overdose (no I wasn't a drug users just got caught up doing the wrong things) oh but GOD brought me back, that however is a testimony for another day.

This particular situation involved a friendship I developed with a young married woman who was being unfaithful to her husband. I had nothing to do with her unfaithfulness and never endorsed it but one night her and I were out together buying Christmas gifts for a charity project - we returned to her home to a danger lurking neither of us expected. Upon arriving to her home, we were all excited about wrapping presents for the kids as we had been working on this project all month. We unloaded the car and as we approached the door: she stopped suddenly turned to look at me and said "hold on something ain't wait here, actually go back to the car." So I did.

After sitting there for about 10-15 minutes her husband comes running out of the house charging at my car with an AK47 in hand pointed at my head. I remember him being so angry as he cursed me out while blaming me for his wife's infidelity that he finally found out about. Now if you've got a gun pointed at you common sense would say put the car in gear and drive. Oh no not me: my no fear-o-meter went into high gear (so unwise because I didn't know any better). As I started the car, I started running my mouth as this man stood there threatening my life. Now by the grace of GOD he gave me to a certain count to get off his property and leave, buit I felt it necessary to kept going on and on, threatening him and pretty much daring him to shoot me. It wasn't like the window of my car was bullet proof and the window was only partially rolled up. Ya'll I could have died. The gun was trained on me, all he had to to do was squeeze the trigger. I did leave, took my time but I left and as I left, I continued yelling at him and even got brazen enough to roll down my window and kept yelling and threatening him. I told him I'm going to call the cops and you know what my silly self did then? I went to the store up from their home within eye shot. I mean they were still standing outside. I got out of my car - made sure he saw me and called the cops, waited on them to get there to their home and drove back by the house as they arrested him. Yes I did that. Crazy. Stupid and all that with a death wish apparently. I was out of my mind bold witn no understanding of how grave that situation was.

The next day the young lady called me (partially to blame and accuse me) after she shared with me what happened in the house as I waited on her outside. Her husband had snapped and he was on a mission to murder. He had dismantled his AK47 and placed pieces of the gun in rooms throughout the home. And as he beat her, cursed her and ran her from room to room - he put that gun back together with the plan to kill her after he finished and I was next on his hit list. And here's another tidbit, he was ex-military who had been dishonorably discharged for his mental, anger and aggression issues. LORD JESUS thank you for saving my life.

Prophetic Revelation:

As we discussed weapons of warfare and weaponry on lastnight this is the revelation the FATHER gave me from that experience. I represented in that situation what the church looks like on many levels. Walking into battle snares, setups, traps and such without knowledge. Some have knowledge but it's a knowledge without understanding and wisdom. They're engaging in battles in enemy territory, trapped on battlefields with no experience, no sense and a boldness/zeal without wisdom - Romans 10:1-3. My boldness and fearlessness is a good thing now because GOD uses that - HE is the source of strength behind it. But my boldness and fearlessness then was just plain old stupid. And sadly that the case with a lot of people in the Body of CHRIST. On the battlefield warring against an adversary who knows his area, his strategy and his weaponry well. He can dismantle it and put it back together in record time. However there are many on the battlefield talking big talk, threatening the enemy and such - quoting scripture with no real understanding of what's being quoted or understand of one's spiritual weapons. Question. Do you know what your weapons are? So many quote Ephesians 6 about the whole armor. Many quote II Corinthans 10:4 (weapons of our warfare are not carnal) but have no clue about what those spiritual weapons are.

I was attempting to fight a battle against a man with a gun that I was not going to win, that I could not win if he decided to pull that trigger. I was unsaved and unwise but GOD. And a lot of saints in the Body of CHRIST are saved but unwised when it comes to engaging the enemy known and unknown.

Look children of GOD if you don't know how to use your weapons, if you don't know what they are - please remove yourself from the battlefield because you're only going to survive being out there like that so many times. You've got to now how to engage. You've got to know the lay of the territory. You've got to study the tendencies of your adversary. You've got to know! You've got to engage in battle full aware of your weaponry  - what to use and when.

Weapons training is necessary. The saints of GOD must know how to engage, when to engage, what to engage and when to step aware and call upon the HOLY GHOST to apprehend the adversary. Instead of doing all that talking, I should have just left and called the cops to begin with. Some of you are trying to engage demons now and just need to walk away and call on the HOLY GHOST to apprehend the matter because you're inexperienced. Take a seat and learn something because you will end up like the 7 sons of Sceva. Learn something first.
